Eeme and Shan is a duo that creates children’s music using their influences of rock, jazz, funk and R&B. Eeme (Naeemah Maddox) has been an early childhood music educator for over 20 years and Shan (Shannon Pelcher) is a board certified music therapist and licensed creative arts therapist.

Eeme and Shan bring rock, jazz, R&,B and folk influences, as well as their decades-old friendship that was first formed in music school.
“I Like the Sounds You Make” was produced by Grammy award-winning artist and producer Lucy Kalantari. Lucy was an early inspiration for Shan, who brought her young children to Lucy’s weekly sing-along classes in Brooklyn. The collaboration between Eeme, Shan, and Lucy is rooted in building joyful learning experiences that welcome all emotions.
